Tier One Training:
(All classes, unless noted, 10:00am-12:00pm in 203 NAF Conference Room):
Please note the following conditions for enrollment in Tier One Training:
Formal training in the care and use of research animals is an integral component of the campus animal care and use program, and is not only good practice, but is required by federal regulations.
In order to meet this need, the ACUC has established a formal policy on training requirements for animal users.
Prior to the start of any animal activity, all faculty, staff, students and research personnel who use live vertebrate animals in research or instruction must receive Level One training. This training, which must be documented in writing, may be obtained either by taking the "Working with the IACUC " CITI on-line course or by attending a Tier One Training seminar.
For more information on training requirements or to enroll in a CITI or Tier One Session, please visit the training page on the ACUC website (http://www.acuc.berkeley.edu/training.html).
For questions or assistance, please send email to: acuc-training "at" berkeley.edu.
